Autonomy
We don't have specialized operations or admins - only developers who can make decisions independently without organizational hurdles. As autonomous teams, we experiment with new technologies and bear full product responsibility for them.
Agility
"We build it, we run it" - we accompany the product development process from discovery to live monitoring. Without having to rely on rigid frameworks such as Kanban or Scrum, we continuously adapt our processes. We use heterogeneous technologies that vary from team to team.
Self-conception
We develop self-contained systems that are continuously provided via our CD pipeline. We take care of all aspects of our product - professional, technical and also the operation in AWS. We determine the way we work together, and together we break new ground.

Working for the Otto Group and at home on the Hamburg campus: Our teams in Otto Group IT are the reliable IT supplier for Accounting & Procurement, People Technology & Business, Cloud & Infrastructure, Digital Work & Collaboration and Strategy & Portfolio and accompany Otto Group customers on their way into the digital future.
We pool Group-wide expertise and use synergies to offer the Otto Group competitive, innovative and sustainable IT services. Our challenge is to identify new technologies and services, develop them to market maturity and make them available to the entire Otto Group. Our services range from consulting impulses to the internal provision of innovative IT services and applications.
Our area consists of 5 units
Accounting & Procurement
We deliver highly automated products as part of our holistic IT and process consulting services. Where appropriate, we rely on SAP. In addition to FI/CO, this also includes MM/SD as well as consolidation and analysis solutions. Our secondary processes are characterized by a high level of process competence, standard software and mutual support. This is how we create synergies within the Otto Group. In close cooperation with the specialist departments, we design digital best practice processes and jointly define ownership and governance in projects, consulting and operations.
People Technology & Business Services
We offer holistic process and technology consulting with a focus on HR and application management for standard software or software as a service from the cloud. In addition to address services and web crawling, our portfolio also includes content management and archive solutions. We operate our products in a highly automated and scalable manner using state-of-the-art technologies. We focus on people and are continuously expanding our expertise.
Cloud & Infrastructure
With cost-efficient hybrid hosting services, high security standards and Group-wide compliance, we provide our colleagues with flexible and reliable access to the entire system - anytime, anywhere. We not only connect servers, clients, clouds and ideas, but above all people. With DevOps and security services, high-availability hosting and a network, we create a secure location for all applications and data.
Digital Work & Collaboration
In an increasingly dynamic working environment, we act as a driver of a networked working world. With workplace-related hardware, suitable services for communication via various channels and collaboration platforms for virtual collaboration and Group-wide networking, we are a reliable partner for all aspects of the workplace.
Strategy & Portfolio
As the central input channel for our customers' questions and their coordination, we represent the interface between Otto Group IT and the Group companies. Our trademark is a broad understanding of the requirements of the Group companies and their rapid implementation. We focus on reliable statements on offers, prices and service charges. We also act as a key driver for the Otto Group IT's AI services.

Digital & Consulting: Mobile, AI and Data
The Otto Group Holding's Digital & Consulting department brings together +100 digital experts from various disciplines. The common goal is to support the group companies in their digital activities as a professional service unit of the Otto Group. This includes consulting projects, but also the development and operation of digital products in particular.
One focus is on touchpoints with end customers. We passionately operate applications such as mobile shopping apps, chat and voicebots, AR applications and the associated cloud services in interdisciplinary teams.
In the area of data, we manage one of the largest retail user data pools in the German-speaking countries and develop innovative data-driven solutions for the Otto Group. With our machine learning applications, we shape the shopping experience of the future and offer intelligent solutions for the challenges in retail and logistics. We develop according to clean code principles and rely on a cloud-native, modern technology stack.
