From corporate strategy to online marketing to business intelligence. Alexandra's resume is as diverse as her current day-to-day work. As Head of Agile Process Cluster, her responsibility is to create a flexible, high-performing and permeable BI organization, keeping in mind the goal of continuously improving the performance and mutability of the organization or individual teams. But what excites her so much about her job and what three superpowers help her in her day-to-day work? We got to the bottom of it.
"As a Process Lead, I provide strategic and disciplinary leadership to the Agile Cluster in OTTO BI. Together with my department, I am pursuing the goal of creating a flexible, high-performance and permeable BI organization in which the product teams can deliver quickly and anchor valuable data, analyses and AI in the business processes of our company. This is how we make OTTO fit for the future and ultimately make our customers happy."
"The high speed of change on the market and a strong customer orientation require high-performance teams that are capable of change. This calls for data-driven organizational development in which we constantly take the pulse of the organization and initiate iterative changes. This is only possible with support, time and commitment. However, when organizations are under pressure, these process issues often have to give way to content issues. This is where we come in and lift these topics onto the agenda. Especially when the organization or teams sink into dysfunction, it's our job to identify that and work together to create solutions that bring us back to effectiveness."
"What I love about my job is the high degree of creative freedom and the fact that, in terms of strategy and organizational development, you never reach the perfect state and are done. We are still on our way when it comes to true cross-functional collaboration across divisional boundaries between business and IT. This requires pattern change and we are relentlessly exercising this muscle. It's not always easy, but at the same time makes my job challenging and never boring."
"Looking at the figures, I am currently very much driven by the question of where we can leverage further efficiencies and potential in BI. For example, we recently conceived the Product Cleaning Day in BI in the Agile Cluster and orchestrated it across all product teams in order to identify potential cost and time savings with the help of the swarm intelligence of all our colleagues. Among other things, this resulted in the pitch for a more effective meeting culture in BI, which a colleague and I are now developing and bringing to life.
In addition, I am concerned with the topic of data-driven organizational development and how we can live the Leading Principle "Think and act Data" even more strongly in our process leadership dimension. Be it through the efficient and effective use of various employee surveys or in the continuous development of our strategy process.
In addition, I am helping to set up the Green IT project team to anchor awareness and responsibility about greener IT solutions decentrally in the organization."
"Look for the exchange! This will give you a better feel for what makes your future field tick. And also talk to colleagues who have bravely ventured into IT as a career change. IT is more complex and colorful than you might initially expect. Above all Be aware of your strengths and what an asset you are to IT - IT needs you! And then get out of your comfort zone and into the new challenge. You will grow from it."
"My three superpowers are a high creative drive coupled with implementation strength, strategic foresight and strong communication skills."
