Achieving success together

More and more companies and clubs are joining forces to exploit the synergies between company sports and e-gaming in the booming world of e-sports. We have also recently entered into a cooperation with our e-sports division and the Hamburger Haie e-sports club. This not only brings the worlds of company sport and e-sports closer together. We also offer our colleagues new opportunities to take part in tournaments and gaming events.

E-sports from Hamburg for Hamburg

As an established e-sports club, the Hamburger Haie have represented the students of all Hamburg universities in the Uniliga since 2019. Here, students from universities all over Germany compete against each other in various e-sports titles such as League of Legends, CS:GO and many more. With over 25 teams and almost 300 club members, most of whom come from the greater Hamburg area, the sharks are a permanent fixture in the regional e-sports community. The cooperation enables the members of our e-sports section to actively participate in this dynamic scene and at the same time appeals to a young and tech-savvy target group.

Next stop: LAN party on the OTTO campus

In the future, our e-sports division and the Hamburger Haie are planning to jointly organize various online and offline events to enrich the gaming experience and promote a lively and diverse e-sports culture. This allows our growing internal gaming community to exchange ideas with other e-sports enthusiasts and expand the network beyond OTTO and the Otto Group.

As the first joint event, our e-sports division is inviting you to the third LAN party on September 20, 2024 together with the Hamburg Sharks at the LAN party on the OTTO campus invited. Whether you're a pro or a beginner, there's something for everyone at Gaming Night. In addition to Age of Empires and Rocket League, the Nintendo Switch will also be used to provide gaming fun and exciting duels. You can find more information about the event here.
