In this interview, Dörte gives you tips on how to best prepare for a job interview and how to convince people. You will learn insights about her career and what makes OTTO special for her.
I've been working in recruitment at OTTO since November 2018. On the one hand, I'm still quite new, but on the other hand, I'm not. Because I did my training as a wholesale and export merchant here over 10 years ago and discovered my passion for HR and marketing in various training stations and later internships during my studies. After my studies in law, HR management and HR psychology, my path led me back to the Otto Group and I worked for several years in HR marketing and recruitment at the EOS Group and then in employer branding at Bonprix. At the same time, I was also involved in a group-wide culture change initiative on the topic of "collaboration" and, for example, helped to launch the Otto Group's first Fuck-Up Night. So I can say that I really enjoy working in the Otto Group and that it offers many opportunities for an exciting working life.
At OTTO, the focus is on people, and I think that's really special. Our open feedback culture, the appreciative interaction and the helpfulness of our colleagues are just a few examples of this. What's more, you can make a lot of things happen here: If you have ideas and want to try something new, you can let off steam and take on responsibility.
Be open, authentic and simply yourself - then we can best find out in the interview whether we are a good match for each other and whether you will be happy with the job with us. So before the interview, think carefully about what is important to you in your new job, what you bring to the position both professionally and personally, and above all, who you are and what makes you special as a person.
With enthusiasm for the job & OTTO.
