Responsibility
Shared values shape our actions today and in the future.
We want to shape, drive and create - to take responsibility and let our actions speak for themselves. We do this in all directions and never lose sight of one thing: people.
We take economic, ecological and social responsibility very seriously and want to achieve even more together. And how do we do that? Fairly, transparently, openly, in partnership and with respect in dealing with natural resources. You can read, hear and see here how we implement our plans, who is involved and what we have already achieved.
Your heart beats for Corporate Responsibility?
Climate change is here and as an online retailer, we see it as our responsibility to speak out. For more than 30 years, we have been acting transparently and committed to climate protection with effective reduction measures. And in doing so, we are pursuing a goal: as an OTTO retailer, we will become climate neutral by 2030.
Would you like to find out more about our projects and get concrete tips on how you too can get involved?

And what about parcel shipping and CO2 emissions? Gesa from our sustainability team and Tobias from atmosfair talk to Ingo from our corporate communications department about the path to CO2-neutral shipping in O-TON #92: "Parcel shipping without CO2 emissions". Listen in or watch our colleagues in the video to see what results we have already achieved and what approaches we are working with.

In addition to climate and nature protection, we take responsibility for all the people we work with and who trust us. We do this with our economic and social actions. One example of this is our working conditions. Here, too, and especially here, the focus is on people. Whether in Europe, (South) America or Asia. Working conditions vary from country to country, and as part of the Otto Group, we are committed to ensuring that production is consistent and socially acceptable worldwide, and that working conditions are humane.

"Especially with the increased inclusion of sustainability topics in OTTO's strategic goals, I felt confirmed in this. My colleagues want to step on the gas: for climate protection, responsible supply chain management, circularity approaches and for sustainable fibers and raw materials."

We have summarized the values that have shaped us and our actions as a family business, and which we also want to live in the future, in our Code of Ethics.
The eight values of the Code of Ethics are deeply rooted in our attitude and formulate a high standard for our thoughts and actions. They provide orientation for all colleagues in the Otto Group and at OTTO when dealing with conflicts and discussing solutions.
