Software developers now have so much more freedom and tasks beyond pure software development that the term has actually become completely meaningless.     CDCs for otto.de - Continuous Everything (now with Cloud™)

    For several years, we have been building otto.de in independent teams that continuously put their changes live without having to coordinate with each other. A wide range of different tests help us to deploy these changes quickly and without fear of errors. However, one class of tests has not yet gained the traction it deserves in the industry: consumer driven contracts, or CDCs. So I'd like to use our recent findings to write about it here.

    Full Disclosure: Securing Internal Communication

    Current e-commerce systems often consist of several servers that communicate with users' browsers via SSL-secured lines. However, the customers' computers are not the only ones with which a store must exchange data: it is almost always necessary for the system's individual servers to communicate with each other as well. It does not matter whether the architecture is microservice or vertical. Even the aging monoliths are happy to use multiple servers in a multi-tier approach.
