Tausende Black-Friday-Angebote – und ab Dienstag schenkt OTTO Neukunden einen Google Home Mini Speaker

11/21/2017
Five days, and thousands of offers – this year, OTTO is extending Black Friday. Starting on Tuesday November 28, all new customers will receive a Google Home Mini smartspeaker free of charge with their orders – all in all, OTTO is set to deliver tens of thousands of these devices to German homes.

This year, Black Friday will showcase a cooperation between OTTO and the official licenser of this shopping event, blackfridaysale.de, from Thursday 23 November to Monday 27 November. There will be some 4,000 offers to choose from, covering the entire assortment spectrum. Multimedia will be the focal point of the five-day Black Friday deals event: in this segment alone, the prices of some 600 items such as smartphones, TVs and cameras will be slashed.

In addition, shipping will be free of charge for orders placed during this period – this applies to all items, which usually incur an additional €5.95 in shipping charges. All customers have to do is enter the code 85738.

After the five-day Black Friday campaign OTTO will raise the stakes even further: all new customers whose purchases exceed € 40.- and who enter the code 82617 will receive a free Google Home Mini smart speaker while stocks last. The device was officially launched in Germany in October and usually costs about € 60. Aided by the integrated Google Assistant, users can tackle their daily tasks: Google Home Mini answers questions, sets a wake-up alarm, or plays music.

OTTO is one of the first German e-commerce companies with which customers can already communicate via the smartspeaker, since ‘OTTO Action’ went live on October 24. Now users can talk to OTTO and receive answers to general questions on service information as well as on the company itself. Additional information on this is available in this press release.

OTTO is now equipping tens of thousands of homes with the smartspeaker and, as a part of ‘OTTO Action’, is including a trial function in the delivery for customers to test. “This way, we can make a substantial contribution to the expansion of conversational commerce in Germany“, explains Dr Michael Heller, Member of the OTTO Management Board, Categories.
