OTTOs Möbeloffensive geht weiter - mehr Produkte, neue TV-Spots

The online retailer OTTO, market leader in German online furniture retail, is to showcase itself in a new TV advertising campaign. Five different product ads showing the latest highlights from the furniture assortment on otto.de are programmed to run from Tuesday 10 October. The Hamburg-based company is already cooperating with over 100 furniture brands and will be further extending its own product offer in 2018.

A shy man in his mid-thirties, dressed in a dark blue sleeveless pullover, receives his excited parents and says “I can’t wait to know what you think”. What both of them cannot guess at that moment is that their son is not talking about his new girlfriend, but his new living room wall units. “My pride and joy”, he says. This is also the slogan for a total of five new TV ads from OTTO that showcase Home Living products with short stories.

“OTTO would like to reinforce its position as the market leader in German online furniture retail with this TV campaign, and gain a further share of the total market”, says Dr Michael Heller, Member of the OTTO Management Board, Categories. In the current financial year the online retailer is working together with 100 large and attractive furniture brands including Rauch, stressless and hülsta. In line with its platform strategy, OTTO is opening up to additional brands and partners, and further extending its Living assortment.

OTTO is currently Germany’s most successful web-based retailer in Furniture and Furnishings in the 2016/17 financial year, with an assortment of more than 100,000 articles and a revenue of over 911 million euros. As well as rapid delivery times and delivery-date selection, OTTO offers also offers customers a set-up service for more than 15,000 articles as well as product advice by telephone, chat and e-mail.

OTTO sets pricing standards with these TV ads and features products in strong demand in the current season. These include the TUBONA wardrobe, a bestseller reduced from 799.99 euros to 399 euros, the RUBONA box-spring bed including designer LED lighting (399 instead of 799.99 euros), the FABONA sofa corner (499 instead of 999.99 euros), the MABONA mattress for 199 instead of 399.99 euros and the WABONA shelf for 222 instead of 449.99 euros. All the advertised articles are exclusively available from OTTO.

The five TV ads now being broadcast on TV for two weeks were produced in cooperation with the HEIMAT, Berlin and Bubble Productions agencies
