The best OTTO services and how to order them

Services are important to more and more customers. But when ordering certain services, there are a few little things to keep in mind to ensure that everything runs smoothly

OTTO is number one online for white goods: Every second washing machine bought online is supplied by the Hamburg-based Internet retailer. OTTO is also Germany's largest online furniture retailer. That's why it is highly experienced in what is known as two-man handling - the delivery of heavy or bulky goods. Just as weighty is the service that OTTO offers along with it. The most important services at a glance:

1. installation service for built-in electric appliances

Old appliances are removed and the new ones are installed and connected to existing connections in accordance with regulations. Existing decorative panels or furniture fronts are professionally installed. Cooking hobs are fitted ready for use. Water connections are connected to existing plumbing. Important: Connection to and from extension hoses is only possible with originals from the manufacturer. For refrigerators without display, the door stop will be changed on request. Upon request, initial commissioning including its functional check.

2. assembly service for furniture

OTTO also assembles the delivered furniture at the desired place on request.
The price varies according to the effort involved, but is always stated directly with the product and must of course be ordered together with the piece of furniture. OTTO will also gladly take away the packaging and dispose of it properly.

3. take away slatted frame/mattress and upholstered furniture

In case of forwarding delivery of new mattresses or slatted frames, Hermes will gladly take along and dispose of used mattresses or slatted frames in exchange 1:1 for 20€ per piece.

4. geographical tracking

You are waiting for your delivery at home? In the case of a freight forwarding delivery, Hermes Live Tracking is available to you on the day of delivery under "My Account". Here you can see the delivery date up to 30 minutes accurately and see the position of the delivery vehicle on the way to you in real time.

5. order free fabric, wood, upholstery samples

For many pieces of furniture, wardrobes, sofas, there is a possibility to order fabric samples, covers in different colors or patterns free of charge before the purchase in order to convince yourself of the exact material quality at home. You can always find this ordering option directly on the page of the corresponding piece of furniture.

6. long-term warranty

In addition to the legal warranty, OTTO or the manufacturer offers an additional warranty for many articles for an additional charge. For which articles this applies, you can find directly at the respective products. The additional warranty does not limit the legal warranty. The long-term warranty includes the following services:
- Large appliances are repaired on the spot, if possible.
- Small appliances are usually repaired in the responsible workshop. We will inform you about the type of processing, such as pick-up, delivery or drop-off, when you register your long-term warranty repair.
- The long-term warranty refers to manufacturing and material defects of the delivered product.

7. desired delivery date

For immediately available shipping items, customers can determine the delivery date themselves: Simply select the desired date from the available time windows in the order process (Monday to Saturday, usually scaled by the hour). Please note:
Unfortunately, the desired delivery date is not possible if the assembly service for furniture or one of the installation services for large electrical appliances was also ordered. We deliver in-stock shipping items directly to the desired location within 2-3 business days with Hermes 2-man teams.
