In Way Up High, two to five players compete to build the highest valued treehouse after a set number of rounds. The game starts with the first player drafting a card from his hand, attaching it to his treehouse, then passing the rest of his hand to the player to his left. This draft contrinues until all players have added one card to their Treehouse for each round of the game. The trick is, while each new card must match the resource type or value of the one previously played, players always have the option to play any card face down as a wild card the wild cards don't have much value, but they can be used to save a player in a bind or to thwart his opponents by taking a card they need. Way Up High is a reimplemantation of Yardmaster Express, in which players had to create the most valuable train by playing railcar cards.
